Since 1958, the Ohio University Players have entertained residents and visitors in Chatham and Cape Cod with first -rate theatre producing eight shows each summer. While a training program for students in all aspects of theatre, The Players perform with great professionalism.
But, it takes more than the price of your ticket to bring you the Magic of a Monomoy performance. Every year the Friends of Monomoy Theatre provide fellowships for our talented performers. Without these stipends it would not be possible to recruit the level of talent for which the Monomoy Theatre is famous. Many of The Monomoy Theatre graduates have gone on to be successful award winning actors, actresses, set and lighting designers, and stage managers.
In addition the Friends provide other needs of the Theatre and the company which are critical to maintain the Theatre's fine reputation.
