Kjersten Lester-Moratzka joined the faculty of the School of Theater in 2003 to continue developing the costume technology focus within the Production Design and Technology MFA and BFA programs. Prior to relocating to Athens , she worked as a professional freelance tailor and draper for numerous theaters, such as The Utah Shakespearean Festival, The Colorado Shakespeare Festival, The Children's Theatre Company and The Guthrie Theatre. Ms. Moratzka has also served on the faculties of Louisiana State University and Appalacxhian State University . In addition, she has worked for any number of production companies, most notable the Tony Award winning Broadway musical Bring In Da Noise, Bring in Da Funk, and the Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Circus. Her design work has been at The Dance Theatre of Lynchburg, Va., Swine Palace Productions and Louisiana State University . She received her MFA from the North Carolina School of the Arts.  She continues her freelance work when not engaged at OU.
