Fine Arts students win funding from the Provost’s Undergraduate Research Fund

The Provost's Undergraduate Research Fund (PURF) provides monetary awards to support research by undergraduate students.  "Research" may include scientific studies as well as scholarly work and creative projects. Students applying for this award are supervised by a full-time faculty member, and each recipient of PURF funding presents his or her research at Ohio University's annual Research and Creativity Fair

Our students were awarded $16, 995 in this round of competition which includes 9 BFA students from the School of Art, 3 BFA students in the Honors Tutorial College Dance program, and 2 BFA students in the Honors Tutorial College Film program.

Our BFA students walked away with approximately 25% of the total number of university awards as well as 25% of the total funding for this year’s PURF awards.
