Bill Stewart - School of Art MFA '66 Bill Stewart Sculpture

Stewart is a ceramic artist and Professor Emeritus from the State University of New York at Brockport. He continues to enjoy a very successful career as an artist and teacher. He exhibits widely throughout the United States and continues to give lectures and workshops. His work can be seen in major university and museum collections, including the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts, the Arkansas Museum of Art, the Museum of American Crafts, and many more. Stewart has received many academic awards in recognition of his teaching and art, and is cited and reviewed extensively in ceramic magazines and books. He participates in residencies and is currently represented by R. Duane Reed Gallery in New York City and Bernice Steinbaum Gallery in Miami, Florida.

 

Regina Klenjoski - School of Dance BFA '93Regina Klenjoski

Klenjoski is a creator, performer, educator and advocate of contemporary dance. Passionate about the moving body with a thirst for communication through dance, the Austrian-born choreographer creates deeply personal works that examine our search for intimacy in contemporary society.

Recognized for her innovative partnering and dynamic energy, she has created 21 works for the Regina Klenjoski Dance Company; seven of which feature commissioned original musical scores from award-winning Los Angeles composers. She founded her company in 2001 and has since received numerous awards including 20 Lester Horton Dance Award nominations and four Achievement in Choreography awards from the prestigious Palm Desert Choreography Competition. Her work has been commissioned by professional, commercial and educational institutions including Chicago’s Next Dance Festival, Loyola Marymount University, Renaissance High School for the Arts, Palos Verdes High School, Bob Barrett Productions, Zephyr Dance, American Video Artists, Torrance Unified School District and DePaul University.

Eran Preis - School of Film MFA '88Eran Preis

Before entering Academe, Mr. Preis worked for fifteen years as a playwright and screenwriter for the Israeli television, theater and film industries. Five of his plays were produced professionally and received prestigious Israeli prizes such as the King David Award. Mr. Preis has had six screenplays produced for television and film including co-author of Beyond the Walls as co-author, which was nominated for the Academy Award in the Best Foreign Film Category in 1984. Mr. Preis continued for several years writing for the Israeli theater and film industry, and is now producing video documentaries in the United States.

His feature length video documentary The Case of Jonathan Pollard received the New Filmmaker Award at the Philadelphia Jewish Film Festival, and was selected for the Jewish Festivals of Toronto, Vancouver and Philadelphia, and the Dallas Video Festival, the Fort Lauderdale International Film & Video Festival and the George Lindsey UNA Film Festival. His documentaries Cheerleaders and Bet Herut: the End of the Beginning (which is currently in distribution with the Cinema Guild) have won awards and been shown in national festivals. P. Baltimore, a documentary on a homeless woman, is being screened at conferences throughout the country. Professor Preis teaches Scriptwriting for Short and Feature Film, Senior Projects, and International Cinema.

Soeprapto Soedjono - School of Interdisciplinary Arts PhD '92Soeprapto Soedjono

Soedjono has been appointed to hold several positions at the Indonesia Institute of the Arts Yogyakarta including Head of the Theatre Department (1993-1997), Vice Dean of Recorded Media Arts (1994-2000), Dean of Recorded Media Arts (2002-2006) and as Rector (President) (2006-current).

In addition, he has been teaching several subjects in art, balancing a career as a photography artist, and exhibiting his works locally and abroad.

He served as a Visiting Lecturer in UPSI, Tg. Malim, PERAK, Malaysia (2000-2002).

 

Marcia Henry Liebenow - School of Music BMUS '81, MM '85 Marcia Henry Liebenow

Liebenow is Concertmaster of the Peoria Symphony Orchestra and teaches violin, viola, and chamber music at Bradley University. In 2007 the CD she recorded with pianist Antonio Pompa-Baldi of the Grieg Violin Sonatas was released by Centaur Records. In 2006 she was honored by Arts Partners for her contributions to the community. In 2003 she received the Outstanding Studio Teacher award from the Illinois American String Teachers’ Association.

Marcia also leads an active career as a recitalist, chamber musician, and soloist across the United States and abroad. She has appeared as soloist with the Samara Philharmonic Symphony in Russia and played with orchestras in Germany, Ireland, and Wales, in addition to numerous solo appearances with the Peoria Symphony and orchestras in Arizona, Illinois, Montana, New Mexico, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Washington. She has served as Primo Violino of Orvieta Musica in Italy, and taught at the Aria International Summer Academy in Canada.

Eric Coble - School of Theater MFA '93 Eric Coble

Coble is a playwright and screenwriter. He is a member of the Playwrights' Unit of the Cleveland Play House. Eric Coble was born in Edinburgh, Scotland and bred on the Navajo and Ute reservations in New Mexico and Colorado. His play Bright Ideas opened off-Broadway at the Manhattan Class Company, directed by John Rando, and has since been published by Dramatists Play Service, with dozens of productions across the U.S. Other scripts include “Natural Selection” (2006 Humana Festival), “The Dead Guy” (published by DPS), "Virtual Devotion", "Cinderella Confidential", and "Pecos Bill and the Ghost Stampede" (all published by Dramatic Publishing). His plays have been produced throughout the U.S, and on four continents including productions at The Kennedy Center, Actors Studio, Playwrights Horizons, Laguna Playhouse, Alliance Theatre, Cleveland Play House, Actors Theatre of Louisville, Curious Theatre, Alabama Shakespeare Festival, Stages Repertory, Great Lakes Theater Festival, Contemporary American Theatre Festival, Actors Alley, and Dobama Theatre.


Awards include the AT&T Onstage Award, National Theatre Conference Playwriting Award, an NEA Playwright in Residence Grant, two TCG Extended Collaboration Grants, Aristophanes Award for Best Off-Broadway Comedy, First Place in the Southwest Festival of New Plays, Heideman Finalist for Actors Theatre Louisville, Best of the CATCO Shorts Festival, the Cleveland Arts Prize, and two Ohio Arts Individual Excellence Awards. Eric is a member of the Cleveland Play House Playwrights Unit, as well as a writer for several nationally broadcast radio programs. He is represented by Val Day of William Morris Agency and Chris Emerson of E-Squared.
