Guy A. Remonko is Emeritus Professor of Percussion and teaches part-time in the percussion area. As a drumset artist he has performed with a variety of well-known artists including Pearl Baily, Diane Schuur, Eddie Daniels, Marvin Stamm, Gene Burtoncini and Bucky Pizzarelli. He has also performed with the Rochester Philharmonic and Montreal Symphony Orchestra and has appeared on a number of National Public Radio broadcasts. In addition to serving on the faculty of the Summer Drumset Workshop since 1980, other teaching endeavors have included articles for Modern Drummer, Percussive Notes and The Instrumentalist magazine. Remonko is a two-time recipient of the Who's Who Among America's Teachers Award and also serves as an artist/clinician for Yamaha Drums and the Avedis Zildjian Company. |
