Master of Music in Music History & Literature

The Master of Music degree in Music History and Literature requires a minimum of 45 quarter hours of graduate work. The program of study includes a variety of course offerings that enables the graduate student to design a program suited to his or her individual professional needs.
The M.M. in Music History and Literature requires a written thesis. In addition, the student is required to demonstrate reading ability in at least one foreign language. An oral examination of the degree candidate is a requirement in the degree program. Students applying for entrance into the Master of Music program in Music History and Literature should submit an original, scholarly paper on a topic related to the proposed major field of study.
