Programs of Study

The courses are in a two-year sequence. The ideal sequence would be to begin with "Introduction to Graduate Studies in Music Education" (MUS 675) in the Fall. If you would rather take only one class a quarter, you could complete the degree in three or four years and two summers. You may take all courses except music history on a non-degree status.

  • Oral Examination
  • Completion of Profession/Clinical Project – this may be completed before or after your oral examination. All other course work must be completed before Oral Exam.
  • The degree is a total of 47 hours.
