Graduate String Audititions
GUIDELINES FOR ENTRANCE AUDITIONS
MASTER OF MUSIC -- STRING PERFORMANCE
After completing graduate school application forms, submitting transcripts of baccalaureate studies, and providing three (3) letters of recommendation, the master of music applicant will contact the chair of the string division (bagleym@ohio.edu) or the School of Music office (kasler@ohio.edu) to determine an audition date at the School of Music in Athens.
Audition Repertory
Violin, Viola, Cello:
A movement of a major concerto, two movements of a solo Sonata or Partita by Bach, and a 20th century work of your choice.
Bass:
A movement of a major concerto, two movements of a work from the Baroque period, and a third work of your choice.
