Professor Wilson teaches graduate courses in music history and performance practices. She has done research on eighteenth-century theoretical treatises and the history of opera.

In addition, Dr. Wilson has performed extensively as a pianist and is called upon frequently for vocal coaching and accompanying. She is the author of several articles on performance practices, opera, and the author, George Sand.

Dr. Wilson also served as Dean of the College of Fine Arts, Ohio University.
