Liberia: Lone Star Rising is a documentary film that explores the daunting task of nation building in Liberia. Principle photography has occurred in two phases:

1) October 2003. A documentation of the inauguration of a new transitional government after fourteen years of civil war. The footage captures the volatile conditions on the ground, the feelings of Liberians and international aid workers, and the mood of the country at this singular moment in its history.

2) November/December 2004. A return to Liberia to assess the progress of the nation building process.

The film is currently in post-production and scheduled for release in June 2005.
