MFA Student Josh Hyde's Short: Chicle is a story about two street kids in Peru selling gum (Chicle) and their interactions with a lost American child and her mother has received several critical reviews. This film explores personal interactions between tourists and locals in our postmodern age of blurred borders and globalism. Hyde will soon start preproduction to expand this short into a feature for which he has already written the screenplay.
Hyde's feature screenplay is posed by the Entertainment Insiders as "worthy of a treatment by a studio searching for the next City of God." Click here for the continued story.
