Supporting documents required are:
- Formal application with fee. You may apply on-line or print a
paper application at the graduate studies website:
www.ohio.edu/graduate
- Transcripts of all undergraduate work
- Three letters of recommendation.
- A sample of your written work consisting of a paper or papers on any subject such as a research paper, article or critical analysis.
- A 500-word personal essay on your goals in pursuing graduate study in film and the relationship of previous education and experience to these goals.
- MFA applicants only: examples of creative work such as a film,videotape, or portfolio of work from another medium.
- For International students only: a minimum TOEFL score of 580 (paper), 237 (computer) or 92 (iBT) or an IELTS score of 7.0. Official scores must be reported directly from the testing agency to Ohio University. The Ohio University institution code for the TOEFL is 1593. English language proficiency scores older than two years are not accepted.
