Study Abroad In Spain
Courses:
We are offering a number of credit options to meet the needs of a diverse pool of students both Graduate and Undergraduate. There will be a course in diversity, a course in speaking Spanish, and a course that is focused on a students major through either a specific class or independent study option. |

Students will receive full time credit (12+ hours) during this summer program. Students will have a number of choices to help fill out their schedules. Students should select one class from each of the three selections listed below.
Some courses are variable hours and can be adjusted to fit a students needs.
1. Spanish Course
All students will get credit for:
- ML 250D - Fieldwork in the Spanish language
2. Diversity
Students will participate in a course on working with and understanding culturally, ethnically and linguistically diverse populations of children. Students can choose to receive credit for the following:
Tier III course
- HCCF 260 and 260L (Diversity in Early Childhood)
- HCGE 479D (workshop in Human and consumer sciences)
- HCGE 559 (Human and Consumer Sciences Seminar, Workshop and Short Course in International Service)
3. Major Specific
We will also be offering courses that are more specific to the majors of Music, Music Therapy, Early Childhood Education and Child and Family Studies. Students can choose from the following:
Early Childhood Education Students Only
- HCCF 455 - Curriculum and Teaching Strategies in Early Childhood and HCCF 455L - Clinical: Curriculum and Teaching Strategies in Early Childhood (must be taken together)
- HCCF 672 – Special Studies in Human Development
Music Therapy Students Only
- MUS 380/480/580 – Music Therapy Practicum (Permission Required)

- MUS 488B – Topics in Music Therapy
- MUS 476A/576A – Music Clinic Workshop
- MUS 498/600 – Independent Study
- HCGE 490A – Independent Study
