Marina Walchli, Director of the Honors Tutorial Program in Dance, has shown her work as free-lance performer and choreographer since 1981. She has danced in work by Danny Buraczeski, Gina Buntz, Donald Byrd, Lynn Dally, Gladys Bailin, Deborah Riley, Robert Small, Remy Charlip, Marion Scott, Doris Humphrey, Ray Cook, Mickie Geller, Lisa Ford Moulton and Susan Hadley. She performed with the Bailey-Newcomb Dance Company and with the Five Minds Company. Recipient of two Individual Artist Fellowships in choreography from the Ohio Arts Council, her work has been produced in Spain, Japan, Chicago, IL, New York, NY and Washington, DC. She has taught at numerous colleges and universities in the US and given master classes at many American College Dance Festivals. Faculty in the School of Dance at Ohio University, Athens, OH, USA since 1987, she holds an MFA in dance, human physiology and special education and Pilates Teacher Certification. She teaches dance k inesiology and injury prevention/rehabilitation, pedagogy, grant writing, Modern and Ballet techniques, choreography, video for dance, and Pilates. |
