Presented as part of The Tournées Festival.

Paris:  the city of love, or in this case, the long for and loss of it.  French master filmmaker Alain Resnais transforms the City of Lights into a snow covered urban arena whereby six lovesick, lonely Parisians attempt to overcome their fears of isolation.  Characters here weave in and out of each other’s lives as they try to allay their anxieties and find stronger connections.  Resnais incorporates his elegant, subtle style with the well-developed characters of Alan Ayckbourn’s play to create a sophisticated and sexy film about life and love.
