Presented as part of The Tournées Festival.
Legendary cinema-essayist Chris Marker reflects on the roles of art, politics, unity, dissent, and many other issues in his latest work. Marker, following the charming grin of a painted cat that suddenly begins to appear on walls across Paris, finds a surprising number of parallels between the appearance of the feline and the state of global society in the aftermath of the September 11th tragedy.
