PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS (prospective freshmen, transfer students):
Beginning in the Fall of 2006, the School of Art is phasing out its Art Education BFA program.
Therefore, effetive March 1, 2006, students who are not enrolled at Ohio University will not have the option of pursuing the Bachelor of Fine Art (Major Code BF5122) in Art Education in the College of Fine Arts.
While the College of Education lists a Bachelor of Science degree (BS) in Visual Arts Education. They have decided to suspend admitting students to the program until they have completed an analysis of budgetary, faculty, and curricular issues related to offering the degree. As of this date, it is unclear whether the Visual Arts Education BS degree will be an option for students in the future.
