The graphic design program continues to appreciate the success and quality of the accomplishments made by the BFA recipients of its curriculum. Over the past 57 years, we estimate eighty percent of all known alumni were working in or have retired from the practice of design, illustration or related fields. In the past 20 years, an estimated ninety percent for those graduating were working within these fields. When illustration was removed from the curriculum in nineteen ninety-three, a ninety five percent and greater placement occurred. Substantial designers and design firms such as: Berkley Repertory Theatre in California, Steff Geissbuhler at C&G Partners, New York, Rick Valacenti at 3st Design, Chicago, Siegel & Gale in L.A., Uzyel Karp at TCP, Mexico City, Landor Associates in London, Cincinnati, and HongKong, AOL in Washington, D.C., Adobe, Inc in Palo Alto, California, and P&G in Cincinnati to mention only a few design firms and corporations that hired our design graduates. This placement and service record gives the university substance and the program vitality that is worth preserving in our MFA in Graphic Design venture.
