Cindy Malon holds dual degrees in graphic design and art. She has received a Bachelor of Science in Design from the University of Cincinnati, a BFA from The Royal Academy of Art, The Netherlands and completed her graduate work in design at the Basel School of Design. A native of Dayton, Ohio, she has been living abroad since 1989 and is currently based in The Netherlands. Her design work has included large-scale exhibition design in public space and identity solutions for non-profit organizations. Currently active as an installation and video artist, in 2006 she was Artist in Residence at Nomads, the Beyond Action Research Program of the city of Utrecht. Most recently, her work has been exhibited at the Netherlands Architecture Institute, into the pill (Athens,Greece), Gallery Factory (Seoul), apexart (NYC), Institute of Contemporary Arts (London), BizArt Center (London) and Monte Video, Amsterdam.
