Brandon Boan comes to Ohio University from Oregon where he collaborated on multiple projects with the "181" Artist Collective, and co-taught an experimental clay research studio course and graduate student seminar at The University of Oregon. Boan has exhibited work nationally and internationally, including a recent 2-person collaborative installation at the Svensk Form Project Room in Stockholm Sweden.

Boan's artists practice focuses on recording material methods of maintenance as a point of departure. He is interested in the flux happening between cultural and material activities in search for new modes of exchange and a collected notion of individual history.
