Sherry has taught graphic design in New Zealand, Lebanon and Qatar where she was also the graphic designer for Virginia Commonwealth University in Qatar. She has also taught courses in India, Turkey and Zimbabwe. Her travel to over 40 countries has stimulated her interest in the relationship between design and culture. She has written for Design Issues, Comma, Pro Design, Icograda eduNews and Designer, and has contributed online to the AIGA Design Forum and Design With Type. Sherry has presented a multitude of papers and lectures. Sherry has also recieved numerous awards for her design work. She loves working with publications and typography. Her favorite project was a self-initated magazine with Lebanese colleague, Halim Choueiry, Comma. The She has degree in education from Paterson State College (New Jersey) and a MFA Her years in the Middle East have allowed her to admit that she loves pale pink. |
